The Lagacy of the king (This too shall pass)
Today i am going to tell you a story of a king. The name of the story is "The Lagacy of the king"
ये कहानी हिंदी ओर इंग्लिश दोनों भाषाओं में है।इस कहानी को पढ़ने के बाद आपको This too shall pass का मतलब पता चल जाएगा।
एक बार की बात है, दूर देश में एक राज्य था, बहुत दूर। राज्य पर एक विशाल और बहुत प्यार करने वाले राजा का शासन था। उन्होंने कई कठिन समस्या से बाहर निकालने में अपने लोगों का नेतृत्व किया था, और वे अंततः शांति, समृद्धि और खुशी के स्वर्ण युग में पहुंच गए थे।
But the king who is getting old, now this king always wanted to give a legacy that he would be remembred by after he was gone. And now the time eas closer that he knew that he had to do something about it.
लेकिन अब राजा बूढ़ा हो रहा है, ओर यह राजा हमेशा एक विरासत देना चाहता था कि उसके जाने के बाद उसे फिर से याद किया जाएगा। और अब समय के करीब आने से वह जानता था कि उसे इसके बारे में कुछ करना है।
So one day he asked his men to look at that biggest rock that they can find and his men did find a big rock and that was placed in right in the middle of the kingdom .
इसलिए एक दिन उसने अपने आदमियों से एक सबसे बड़ी चट्टान को देखने के लिए कहा, जिसे वे पा सकते हैं और उसके आदमियों को एक बड़ी चट्टान मिली और उसे ठीक राज्य के बीच बीच रखा गया।
The next day the king make an announcement and he said “Now that our land is enjoying a season of prosperity and peace, I wish to leave a permanent legacy of my reign as your ruler.”
He said that this rock will inscribed with word that will leave on for hundreds and thousands of generations. You and I will longed on but the words on this rock will live on forever.
So what can written on this rock has to be profound, meaningful and timeless.
For that side he announced huged reword for anyone who suggest something that was worthy or being inscribed on the giant rock.
अगले दिन राजा ने एक घोषणा की और उन्होंने कहा कि "अब हमारी भूमि समृद्धि और शांति के मौसम का आनंद ले रही है, मैं आपके शासक के रूप में मेरे शासनकाल की एक स्थायी विरासत छोड़ने की इच्छा रखता हूं।"
उन्होंने कहा कि यह चट्टान ऐसे शब्द के साथ अंकित होगी जो सैकड़ों और हजारों पीढ़ियों तक चलेगा। आप और मैं जिवित नहीं रहेंगे लेकिन इस चट्टान के शब्द हमेशा के लिए जीवित रहेंगे।
तो इस चट्टान पर जो लिखा गया है वह गहरा, सार्थक और कालातीत होना है।

Some came up with king’s song pray, Some came up with moral stories and some with religious text.
But nothing really make sense to the king, after savrel weeks of drama the king get dishardent (loosing hope) and though of giving up.
बड़े- बड़े पुरस्कार का नाम सुनकर इस प्रतियोगिता में हजारों को संख्या में लोग भाग लेने आते है।
कुछ राजा की प्रार्थना के गीत के साथ आए, कुछ नैतिक कहानियों और कुछ बुद्धि धार्मिक पाठ के साथ आए।
लेकिन वास्तव में राजा को कुछ भी ऐसा नहीं मिलता जिससे उसे ऐसा लगा हो की इस चीज को वो बिसलकाय शीला पर आंकित करे। नाटकीय हफ्तों के बाद राजा को घृणा हो जाती है (और उम्मीद खो देते हैं) और इसे छोड़ने की सोचने लगते है।
But then his trusted minister come and advice him that invite the three wise man who he believed could help. So as a last resort king agreed to give him a chance.
लेकिन तभी उनके विश्वस्त मंत्री आ गए और उन्हें सलाह दी कि वे तीन बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति को आमंत्रित करें, जिन पर उन्हें विश्वास था कि वे मदद कर सकते हैं। इसलिए एक अंतिम उपाय के रूप में राजा उसे एक मौका देने के लिए सहमत हुए।
So when king meet this three wise man , he pointed at the giant rock and said I want to write something on this rock that is so profound, meaningful and timeless that it will keep guided humanity hundred and thougents of years and for that he give him one week to think over.
इसलिए जब राजा इस तीन बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति से मिलता है, तो उसने विशालकाय चट्टान की ओर इशारा किया और कहा कि मैं इस चट्टान पर कुछ लिखना चाहता हूं जो इतना गहरा, अर्थपूर्ण और कालातीत है कि यह मानवता को आने वाले हजारों वर्षों तक लोगों को निर्देशित करता रहे और इसके लिए वह उसे सोचने के लिए एक सप्ताह का समय देता हैं।
One week latter the wise men came back and handed the king small note. King was very surprised because he was expecting something longer but it was just one line and that to be just four words. And the note wrote,
“This, too, shall pass”
At first the king was very annoyed that he had been waiting for hole week for these guys will come back and give him something meaningful and all of they come up with hole four words,” this, too, shall pass”
एक सप्ताह बाद बुद्धिमान लोग वापस आए और राजा को छोटे नोट दिए। राजा बहुत आश्चर्यचकित था क्योंकि वह कुछ अधिक बड़े की उम्मीद कर रहा था लेकिन यह सिर्फ एक पंक्ति थी और यह सिर्फ चार शब्द थे। और नोट लिखा,
"यह भी गुजर जाएगा"पहले तो राजा को बहुत गुस्सा आया कि वह इन लोगों के लिए एक सप्ताह का इंतजार कर रहा था, की वह वापस आकर उसे कुछ सार्थक देगा और वे सभी चार शब्दों के साथ आएंगे, "यह भी, गुजर हो जाएगा"
But when the king read these words again, the profoundness and meanings of those words sunk in his heart and he knew that these timeless words were worthy of going on that rock.
So that was going to be the lagacy of the king
लेकिन जब राजा ने इन शब्दों को फिर से पढ़ा, तो उन शब्दों की गहनता और अर्थ उसके दिल में डूब गए और वह जानता था कि ये कालातीत शब्द उस चट्टान पर जाने के योग्य थे।
तो वह राजा की विरासत होने वाली थी।
Moral of the story
Now the purpose of telling this story is
I am sure that you would have heard this word in different context and probably in different characters.
But the meaning behind these words is profound.
The way I interpret this line is that our time in this world is limited and nothing that happens to us during this brief stint matters in the long run.
Things that bothers us today will not keep bothering us forever because “ This, too, shall pass”.
When I was a kid, I used to worry about grades, that phase has passed I don’t have to worry about grades anymore
When I was in college I used to worry about getting a job, that phase passed and I don’t have to worry about it anymore.
And this cycle keep repeating for all of us. Getting married, buying a car, buying a house, having kids,kids education and its goes on and on, but what remains true always that “this, too, shall pass”.Nothing last forever at the end the reality is our time in this world is limited.One day we all have to go but what we do with this time is left up to us we can either choose a meaningful life and be happy or be stuck in this endless cycle of happyness and sorrow caused by transient issue that will not matter in the long run .
So if you are feeling down today, if you are feeling hopeless today, if you are down on your luck and you don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel just take comfort in this timeless word that
“This ,too, shall pass”
